Mermaid M24 Cool Only Marine A/C Unit – 24,000 BTU’s – 220V Details:

Newest to the Mermaid Manufacturing line is the M24 – 24,000 BTU model marine air conditioner. Due to Mermaid customer demands, the M24 was created to solve the problem of locating a self-contained unit where performance, price, and efficiency were hard to find with an output larger than 16,500 BTU’s.

With a cooling capacity of 2,400 cubic feet, Mermaid’s 24,000 BTU unit is designed to cool cruisers over 40′ and sailboats over 45′.

Constructed on Mermaid’s standard stainless steel base with dual condensate drains, the M24 is an ideal addition to any vessel looking for maximum performance and durability – all in one package. The M24 is available in Right, and Top air discharge configurations and only comes in 220V. The air output collar holds an eight inch duct. It is recommended to use at least three vents on this unit – minimum sizes of 6 inch vents. Mermaid provides eight inch ducting and air splitters to take eight inch to multiple six inch vents.

All M24 models include a digital thermostat, insulation mounting pad, and air output collar. Pump not included. 

Digital Control/Thermostat Options (Included w/Unit) – Select Programmable or Non-Programmable

Programmable Thermostat
Mermaid’s standard Digital Programmable Thermostat. Designed to be used with any Mermaid unit.

Programmable features allow for weekday and weekend setting for those boater’s who care to use the unit for dehumidification or simply climate control while not on board. The thermostat is also accompanied with 20 feet of four-wire thermostat cable and installation instructions.

Non-Programmable Thermostat
As an alternative to the standard Digital Programmable Thermostat, Mermaid offers a simple Non-Programmable Thermostat that can be mounted vertically or horizontally. It is ideal for applications where programming features will not be necessary.

Simply set the fan to AUTO (comes on with the unit) or ON (continuous duty), and set your desired temperature – and that’s it! The thermostat will now maintain that set temperature until you turn it off or change the temperature. Again, this item is ideal for folks looking for a simple controller and a slimmer wall mount design. This can be a FREE alternative to your Programmable Thermosat upon purchase of any Mermaid Air System.
