The Mermaid 12,000 BTU marine air conditioner has the smallest footprint on the market and only weighs 31.5 pounds. It is the ultimate in climate control. Don’t mistake that compact size for impaired function, however; the Mermaid unit packs the perfect punch of cool, comfortable air to keep your cabin temperate. Thanks to the expertise of Mermaid’s engineering and manufacturing team, even the electrical box on this unit only weighs 4.7 pounds.

The Mermaid 12,000 BTU marine air conditioner also has rotatable blowers and tapers into a V shape to make odd angle discharge installations a breeze. 4″ ducting is used and Mermaid recommends a minimum of 2, 4″ round supply grills with this installation. This unit will run off of the new Honda EO1000i 1,000 watt portable generator while in cool mode. Another option Mermaid recommends is to use a Statpower pure sine wave 1,800 watt inverter and 450 amp hours of battery power and you can anchor out for the night.

All M12 models include a digital thermostat, an insulation mounting pad, and an air output collar. Pump not included.

Programmable Thermostat

Mermaid’s standard Digital Programmable Thermostat. Designed to be used with any Mermaid unit.

Programmable features allow for weekday and weekend setting for those boater’s who care to use the unit for dehumidification or simply climate control while not on board. The thermostat is also accompanied with 20 feet of four-wire thermostat cable and installation instructions.

Non-Programmable Thermostat
As an alternative to the standard Digital Programmable Thermostat, Mermaid offers a simple Non-Programmable Thermostat that can be mounted vertically or horizontally. It is ideal for applications where programming features will not be necessary.

Simply set the fan to AUTO (comes on with the unit) or ON (continuous duty), and set your desired temperature – and that’s it! The thermostat will now maintain that set temperature until you turn it off or change the temperature. Again, this item is ideal for folks looking for a simple controller and a slimmer wall mount design. This can be a FREE alternative to your Programmable Thermosat upon purchase of any Mermaid Air System.
