All Pressure Senders are 12- or 24-Volt and have 1/8-27 IPS thread unless noted. These senders work with most VDO series gauges that are 10-180 ohms. Standard Ground: Single wire senders with positive lead only.
Grounding occurs through the sender case to common ground. Floating Ground: Two wire senders with positive and negative lead. The sender is insulated in the engine block and grounding occurs through the negative lead to a common ground. (i.e. ground on battery).
This prevents the formation of a voltage leak and electrolytic corrosion. Dual Station: Dual gauge operation from a single sender. “D” is stamped on side of hex nut of sender.
